Pitch Deck
Visually eye catching presentations overviewing your project.
Pitch Deck
When first approaching investors and producers, you cannot directly send them your 100-page script or 30-page business plan. Nobody has that much time. You want to warm them up first with your film pitch deck which is only a 5-10 minute read and it compels your potential film investors to ask for further details about your project. There is no denying of fact that your script is important. Your script must be spectacular. But it will not matter how great your script is if you can’t get anyone to read it. Executives, agents, and buyers are asking these days if there is a Pitch Deck they can see prior to reading the script. This is the case these days with all major networks, studios , as well as with independent financiers.
The Pitch Decks we prepare for you introduces your project in a visually striking & emotionally powerful way. They capture your reader’s imagination, allowing them to see and feel the story and embrace the characters. We give your reader a comprehensive understanding of the enormous potential of your project. They are literally able to see the story you are trying to tell.
Before we start with the design process we start by thoroughly reading your script/treatment & developing a deep understanding of your story and characters. The key elements included in the pitch deck are Log-line, Synopsis,Character Brief, Tone, Moodboard, Target Audience, Comparisons in the Genre, etc. Our target is to be true to the script’s vision, feel & tone.
Disclaimer: Decks and other pitch material are made SOLELY for pitching purposes. They are not for public release. Some of the images used in the deck include stills from similar movies the rights of which I don’t own. No violation of copyright law is intended.
Shooting Scheduling
Colored stripboard & detailed script breakdowns.
Shooting Schedule
Film is a commercial art. Effective management of film is as important as the other artistic aspects of it. Your production shooting schedule is the first & foremost step towards it.
In the old days scenes were inputted manually into a spreadsheet for scheduling. The benefit of this was that it was practically free! The downside of all this- it’s a spreadsheet which means a lot of repetitive data entry and human error. Then dawn the era of specialized film scheduling softwares that are a little pricey, but they save a lot of time by limiting errors and offering your production a more professional image. We use these industry standard softwares to create the most realistic schedule for your film, TV show, or commercial to make sure that your video production goes smoothly.
Script breakdown :
Script breakdown sheets complement the shooting schedule and they list out all the key elements within scenes. We start by pulling out elements from your script that affect your schedule and categorize them into different element types. The categories include the following:
- Lead cast
- Extras (background actors)
- Props
- Wardrobe or costumes
- Makeup & Hair
- Sets and locations
- Special effects
- Vehicles
- Animals
You get individual breakdown sheets for each scene in your script, containing separate category boxes for each element type.
Colored Stripboard Schedule :
The stripboard organizes the scenes in your script in the order of shooting using color-coded strips. Each scene strip will have different color based on the time of day and the type of shot (interior or exterior). We also mention day breaks in the stripboards we prepare to mark the end of the day, meaning all the scenes above that daybreak will be shot in one day. We use our years of expertise in figuring out what scenes can be the best shot together on the same day, scheduling actors to work consecutive days, and how to tighten the shooting schedule so that the movie can be shot in a minimum number of days. In the end, you get the most effective shooting schedule that gets the maximum output for your budget.
Script Treatment
In-depthly deconstructed act-by-act summary of your script
Script Treatment
The purpose of a script treatment is to give your agents, producers & potential investors a thorough but brief version of your film or TV series script. You send the treatment when you’re ready to pitch your idea to them. It is the screenplay told in a present-tense prose, usually without dialog or technical information. It’s a short-story version of your complete screenplay. The goal of a film treatment is to gain the interest of someone in a position to see your complete screenplay.
The treatments we provide follows the industry standard & starts with a logline along with breakdown of the main characters before jumping into a scene-by-scene summary of your script, including key sequences and set pieces. The script treatment starts with semi-scene headers to denote locations & its written in a conversational prose-screenplay hybrid style. The length of the treatments usually ranges between 7-10 pages depending on the script size & type.
TV Show Bible
Detailed visual blueprint of your show
We will create a visually catchy show bible presentation based on your pilot script, treatment, or episode synopsis to present your idea to studio executives and potential investors in such a way that the reader can easily visualize your entire show and understand what it feels like to watch a typical episode. It includes a pitch with a logline synopsis of your show, story world, character breakdowns, pilot episode summary & tone for future seasons. If your goal is to create & sell a TV series trust us you need a bible.
TV Show Bible
Studios, networks and streaming services pass on buying series from unknown writers. Creating a series is not just about coming up with a great idea, it’s about being able to execute that idea on a week-to-week basis. That’s why networks tend to buy show concepts from established showrunners, & production companies with a good track record. To sell your show, a series bible is a must have & a visual one filled with relevant pictures will surely make you stand out from all the noise out there. The purpose of a TV series bible is to convince studio executives and producers that your pilot is not just a single great piece of writing but it has huge potential in future for many coming seasons full of great characters and exciting plot twists. A TV pilot script certainly needs a Bible to stand on.
The show bible we create follows the industry standard & starts with a pitch including a logline-synopsis of your show. It talks about the story world & the pilot episode’s gist & tracks the character arcs, episodes, and the future seasons of your TV show. The bible will be in presentation form with appropriate images added that complement the text. The length of the show bible presentation usually ranges between 10-15 slides depending on your idea & pilot episode’s length.
Disclaimer: Show Bibles and other pitch material are made SOLELY for pitching purposes. They are NOT for public release. Some of the images used include stills from similar movies the rights of which I don’t own. No violation of copyright law is intended.
Preliminary Budget
Topsheet Budget & Detail level sheets
Preliminary Budget
Having a precise understanding of how much your film will cost is crucial before approaching any investor or network producer. Creating a detailed movie production budget is an essential part of the film-planning process. With the script, equipment, locations, cast and crew to think about, as well as the costs associated with pre- and post-production, there are lots of separate elements to consider. A well prepared preliminary budget not only keeps surprises to a minimum but also ensures that you’ll actually have the funds to finish your project before you begin. It also provides the investor a detailed plan of how you are going to utilize the money.
The preliminary film budget we prepare for you will include a detailed overview of all the potential costs and the accounts. This budget would be ideal to give your prospective finance providers a rough idea of the film’s costs. We use industry standard film budgeting softwares to budget your projects. Our Film budget breakdown accounts and sub-accounts usually encompass these three categories:
1.) ABOVE-THE-LINE (ATL) :
This category includes script development costs, talent, and crew generally involved in development phase like writers, producers & the director. All pre-production costs are accounted in this part of the film production budget.
2.) BELOW-THE-LINE (BTL) PRODUCTION BUDGET :
All production costs, equipment and labor costs are accounted for in this category. Everything from locations, permits, trucks, camera, grip and electric, etc. are managed in this category.
3.) BELOW-THE-LINE (BTL) POST-PRODUCTION :
It includes all the costs associated with delivering and marketing the final product. Editing, graphic artists, special software, stock footage, music and sound effects are considered along with marketing and distribution costs.
NOTE- The preliminary film budget we create is designed to raise financing by presenting to potential investors and does not include fringes & other tax details. Once you secure the funding you can get this budget extended by a local expert to include other tax details. The rates can also be adjusted to SAG, DGA, IATSE, WGA, TEAMSTERS, or non-union rates as needed.
Script Coverage
On-point coverage report of your script with valuable feedback
Script Coverage
Script coverage is the process by which scripts are filtered in TV & film industry. The decisionmakers sitting on top don’t have time to read the huge number of scripts submitted to them. Script coverage is their go-to solution. When a producer or agent receives your screenplay submission, they rely on a Script Reader to read your screenplay and produce a coverage report. The Reader will then rate your screenplay with a standard “Pass, Consider, or Recommend” rating. Only those submissions rated “Recommend” move up the chain.
Our professional script coverage service helps your work have a shot at getting past that first gatekeeper, the Script Reader prior to submission to the industry. We will provide you with valuable feedback on how to improve your screenplay to make it more professional. We follow the industry standard format & our coverage report starts with a Logline & summary of script along with breakdown of major characters. We include a full page of our comments with a Pass/consider/strongly consider/recommend scores on script elements such as dialogue, originality, etc. The length of the coverage reports usually ranges between 2-4 pages depending on the script size & type.
